I agree with many of Martin’s points regarding the local elections. However, calling the members of EERK and Plan B charlatans and traitors is in no way true! Yes, both we and EERK include people with an EKRE background, but one should think more deeply — why are we no longer in EKRE, and why are we pursuing our own path.
I’m not referring to the internal power takeover within EKRE, since there are different opinions about that. But I do know precisely, for example, about the case of the takeover of the NGO Conservative Estonia, led by Mike Calamus, which ultimately forced me to leave as well, after witnessing an information operation being launched against my comrade-in-arms at eestieest.com, Mike Calamus.
Similarly, Kertu Luisk was expelled from the party because she didn’t repeat the “right” narrative about the war in Ukraine — yet today, we know that Kertu was telling the truth all along.
So perhaps the real question is: who has actually been the true charlatan and traitor here?
IN FOCUS | Real change can only come from those who are ready for a fundamental course correction.
P.S. Martin Helme’s speech begins in the broadcast at around the 14-minute mark.
